Images with Smaller Telescopes

The images below were obtained with a 235mm Celestron Schmidt Cassegrain telescope or a 130mm Sharpstar apochromatic refractor located in North Ryde, Sydney.

Sony IMX290 or IMX178 CMOS sensors, RGB filters or SDSS g' and r' filters. The colour images are made by combining images in R, G and B filters each being itself a composite of ~1000 or more individual short exposures.  The rotation sequences are obtained by repeating observations every five minutes approximately. Processing with AutoStakkert (frame registration and combination), Registax 6 (multiscale sharpening), Astra Image (RGB combination) and GIF Brewery 3 (animated GIF creation).
